Before moving to Canada, I dreamed of becoming an English teacher back home. I decided to study abroad for a year and test my English skills with a working visa, believing I was ready to succeed right away. But I quickly realized that knowing grammar rules and vocabulary wasn’t enough—I could understand others, but I couldn’t speak a single word with confidence. Determined to overcome this, I immersed myself in an English-speaking environment, and within a year, I got a job and pursued college, earning a degree in Counseling. Along the way, I also earned certifications in TESOL, TEFL, and CELPIP to help others facing the same challenges I did. I’ll never forget seeing someone struggle to fill out a simple form because they couldn’t speak English, and no one took the time to help. That moment broke my heart, but it also inspired me to make a difference. Now, it’s my mission to teach English in a way that transforms lives—whether it’s helping someone get a better job, travel the world, or finally feel confident expressing themselves. Antes de mudarme a Canadá, soñaba con ser profesora de inglés en mi país. Decidí estudiar en el extranjero durante un año y probar mis habilidades en inglés con una visa de trabajo, creyendo que estaba lista para triunfar de inmediato. Pero pronto me di cuenta de que saber reglas gramaticales y vocabulario no era suficiente: podía entender a los demás, pero no podía decir ni una sola palabra con confianza. Decidida a superar esto, me sumergí en un entorno donde solo se hablaba inglés y, al cabo de un año, conseguí un trabajo y me inscribí en la universidad, donde obtuve un título en Consejería. Durante ese tiempo, también obtuve certificaciones en TESOL, TEFL y CELPIP para ayudar a otras personas que enfrentan los mismos desafíos que yo. Nunca olvidaré ver a alguien luchar por llenar un simple formulario porque no podía hablar inglés, y cómo nadie se tomó el tiempo para ayudarlo. Ese momento me rompió el corazón, pero también me inspiró a marcar la diferencia.
